Accommodation
The independent 18th century Villa, private but not remote is shrouded in vines, grapes and fig trees. The interior is an eccentric mixture of late 20th furniture. The king size Memphis bed and matching side tables are complimented with early 60’s Conran lamps. A classic late 50’s Eero Saarinen table with 6 tulip chairs offers an idea dinning area and the reception has an open wood fire, Scandinavian 60’s teak writing table, sideboard and Eames chairs. Other elements by Tom Dixon, Verner Panton and Fornasetti. The ground floor offers a large kitchen with french doors leading to an alfresco dining area under the vines. Private bathroom and dressing room with 70’s G-plan teak furniture compliments the villa’s functionality.
Things to do/ Exploring
Where do we start... Your be staying in the middle of renaissance country. Every hill climbed or every bend turned will take your breath away. Architectural treasures are all around us, so much so that sometimes your be happier to lay in the garden with a good book and a glass of delicious local wine.
Alternatively, ask us for a map and compass and off you go. Take a scooter for a spin and discover the countryside for yourself. Get your hands dirty and pick wild strawberries, grapes, figs and porcini mushrooms depending on the season. Play a game of Bocce on our private court or help yourself to the games in the outhouse.
